—And I quote: "Your silence will not protect you."—Audre Lorde

—Doppelgänger: If there’s ever a movie made about the life of late actor Tab Hunter, actor Cody Christian should be front and center. They certainly look alike.

Tab Hunter in Tab Hunter Confidential.

However, I’m not sure if Christian could (or would) portray Hunter, given that Hunter was gay in private. Even though it is called acting, there are people who feel that only LGBTQ+ people (who are sorely underrepresented when it comes to acting roles) should portray LGBTQ+ individuals in shows and films. Also, there are actors who shun gay roles because they’re, well, gay. What year is this?

—Animal planet: Did you know that a group of orangutans is called a congress? Now how can we insult the apes like that?

—Animal planet, part two: I always find it interesting when nature series/films study invasive species. Is this similar to the British colonists taking over Native Americans’ land in this country?

—Book it: Yes, there’s a children’s book entitled Who Pooped on Me? Yes, we’ve come a long way from The Cat in the Hat.

—Drag dolls: Just wondering about these anti-drag laws… Will they apply to frat boys and other men who dress as women for Halloween? Will movies like Mrs. Doubtfire be banned—or will that be an act of defiance if someone decides to view it?

Do these questions seem dumb? Well, they’re no more stupid than these laws.

—The price is wrong: Someone needs to remind the people at UNTUCKit what an actual sale price is:

—Cover me: Sabrina Carpenter revealed the title and release date (Aug. 29) for her new album, Man’s Best Friend—and immediately generated controversy with what may be the cover, according to Yahoo!

A photo Carpenter posted showed her dressed in a black dress and high heels, kneeling on the ground in a dog-like pose while an unidentified individual stands off to the side and pulls her by the hair.
