Random thoughts on Samuel Alito, destination weddings and Diddy's "apology video"

—Thought: I never thought Diddy was the best actor—but that “apology” video just reeked on a variety of levels. Something tells me he might have a whole series of videos when all is said and done. And TMZ released The Fall of Diddy on Tubi—and that was before the video of Diddy’s assault on Cassie was released.

—Kleenex moments: Something tells me that people will need tissues to get through I Am Celine Dion, which is slated to debut on Prime Video on June 25. The trailer itself is pretty moving.
—Being heard: Actress Scarlett Johansson said she had to threaten legal action to get ChatGPT to have a soundalike voice taken down. You know who would’ve been able to prove his voice was “deep-faked?” Gilbert Gottfried… That man had a voice like none other.
—Darling Nikki: Nikki Haley said she’ll vote for Donald Trump in the presidential election. It sounds like someone’s angling to be a running mate—and I guess all the name-calling that happened just a couple months ago is just a distant memory. Sigh…
—Upside down: Democrats have called on U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito to recuse himself from cases related to former President Donald Trump after reports surfaced that an inverted U.S. flag—a symbol linked to the pro-Trump “Stop the Steal” movement—was flown outside his home in the days following the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. (BTW, news outlets unearthed another controversial flag that was flown outside his residence as well.)
